Salah double sinks Arsenal.

Two goals from Mohamed Salah helped Liverpool keep up their ideal begin to the season with a 3-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield.

Joel Matip's header from Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner set them on their route just before half-time.

Liverpool multiplied their lead three minutes after the break when Mohamed Salah was pulled back by David Luiz in the territory and Salah changed over the spot-kick.

The Egyptian scored his second on 59 minutes when he beat David Luiz close to the midway line and progressed to score.

Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both left behind early goalscoring chances for Arsenal, who reduced the shortfall on 85 minutes through Lucas Torreira.

Liverpool equalled a club-record series of wins of 12 group matches to go top with nine points from three matches.
