On the day after Nipsey's memorial service last week (April 12), Ingraham spoke about the Hyde Park, Los Angeles native's nationally broadcasted memorial service before emphasizing that he "recently released" the song "FDT"before his death—the song dropped in 2016, three years ago. Then, she played the song's music video but ended up showing only YG's chorus instead with no correction. After the wrong clip played, Ingraham thought it was appropriate to joke about Nipsey's (not YG's) intentions for making the song.
“That’s a very creative refrain, very catchy,” Ingraham joked. "Is that related to the lowest unemployment ever basically for African Americans?"
For the unfamiliar like Ingraham and her viewers, Nipsey Hussle is featured on YG's "FDT (Fuck Donald Trump)," which is the second single from his Still Brazy album. The clip Ingraham's team used for her segment only showed YG's catchy chorus, and not of Nip's verse.
After a clip of her erroneous segment went viral, hip-hop didn't take her unprofessional mannerisms lightly. Rappers like The Game, who's taken several swipes at Fox News commentators lately, and Busta Rhymes have called for Ingraham to be removed from the news network.
